The CollectR Mechanic

Pirots replaces traditional paylines with ELK Studios’ brand-new CollectR mechanic. During each spin, or drop, the four coloured birds land on the grid alongside gem symbols and special feature symbols. The birds move around the board to collect adjacent gems that match their specific colour, paying out wins as long as the colours match. Gems start at win level 1, paying between 0.05 and 0.25 times the bet, and can be upgraded to a maximum level where they pay between 3 and 15 times the bet each.

Expandable Grid

The action begins on a default grid matrix of 5 reels and 5 rows. However, the grid is expandable, growing to a massive 8×8 layout during gameplay to increase the potential for wins.

Bonus Features and Symbols

Feature Meter

Every symbol collected by the birds, with the exception of the bonus symbol, adds to a feature meter. Once this meter is completely filled, it triggers a feature award that turns three gems into feature symbols.

Special Feature Symbols

The game includes six distinct varieties of feature symbols to boost gameplay:

Wild Symbols

These substitute for any gem symbol at its current win level.

Transform Symbols

These turn clusters of gems into the same colour as the collecting bird or change them into feature symbols.

Upgrade Symbols

A white upgrade symbol improves the value of the collecting bird’s gem, while a multicoloured symbol upgrades all gem types simultaneously up to a maximum of level 5.

Coins

Bombs

When no more wins are possible, collected bombs explode, removing nearby non-feature symbols and causing a redrop. This explosion also forces the game grid to expand up to its maximum size of 8×8.

Bonus Symbols

These act as scatter symbols and trigger the free spins round.

Free Drops

Collecting three bonus symbols during a game round triggers the bonus mode, awarding 5 free drops. Throughout this free spins feature, the current grid size, the win level of the gems, and the feature meter progression all remain persistent. Collecting three more bonus symbols during the round will add extra free drops to your total.
